About Me

121633564 b01b10f341 o 225x300 About MeHello. I’m Shannon. This site was created as a way to share the things I was already doing in real life. It helps me spare my husband/friends/children the details of how I was able to find a special trick to do something or the details of an upcoming trip plan. As an insatiably curious child who was forced to re-read the same three sets of encyclopedias, I’ve been able to channel that energy into doing (mostly) productive things as an adult: planning trips with special details, figuring out how to do things most people wouldn’t or learning a new skill that I always wanted to know.

Like many children, my kids are quirky and have their own sets of challenges. If there’s something good to come out of their fussy time as babies and toddlers, it’s that they taught me just how creative I can be. I never thought much about what could be done while standing in line but now I’ve got an arsenal of tricks up my sleeve. Thanks, kids!

By day, I work as a Digital Producer at an ad agency. I was formerly a programmer for many years and love technology. Instead of helping everybody else execute their websites, it’s fun to take some of that same knowledge and apply it here.

Random things that make me happy: Chewy Sprees, Tina Fey, fireworks, polka dots, Oreos, things that glow, Sky Mall, Google, New York City, Oprah, Don Q Gold rum, Walt Disney World, Christmas stockings, chocolate chip cookies, Jon Stewart, bubbles, sushi, fruity martinis, FedEx, tulips, fighter jets and big hair.

The site is updated three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please feel free to email me, follow me on Twitter, subscribe via RSS and/or sign-up for the email newsletter. I look forward to hearing from you!
